In collaboration with the Department of Digital Economy and Information Technologies and the IT Park, a scientific-practical seminar was held within the framework of innovative-corporate cooperation on the topic “Directions and prospects of IT project development in Uzbekistan”.
The work of the seminar was opened by Gulnara Abdurahmanova, vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations of the university. In his speech, he emphasized that developing new projects in order to increase the social activity of young people, to further develop their creativity and creative abilities, and that these projects play an important role in the implementation of their talent, inventions and ideas.
Also, the dean of the Faculty of Digital Economy, Ilhom Alimardonov, who spoke at the seminar, spoke about how much attention is paid to the IT sector in our country today, the role of this sector in the development of the digital economy, the conditions created by the Tashkent State University of Economics for specialists in this field, and prospective projects of students. stopped.
After that, they went to the main presentations of the seminar. In his presentation, the first speaker, Akmal Salikhov, shared his thoughts with the students on the experience and features of developing IT projects in Uzbekistan, software products created, enterprises and organizations working in cooperation, as well as establishing an IT business that has a place in the world market through the creation and implementation of IT projects. and shared their recommendations.
The second speaker, Humoyun Sultanov, acceleration manager of the IT Park company, in his presentation on the topic “IT Park works for the successful operation of IT entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan in the world market and the country is proud of them” presented the work done by the IT park to date, the creation of new jobs. he gave instructions on increased projects, software products and services, implementation directions of start-up projects, broad involvement of young people in the production of software products.
In addition, the provision of financial, marketing, legal and other consulting services to residents in the IT park, financial benefits for residents, exemption from all taxes and mandatory contributions to the state’s target funds, as well as one-time social payments until January 1, 2028, provided benefits and it was also emphasized that the volume of services and exports is increasing year by year due to preferences, IT-park residents are entering the world markets and providing their services to foreign companies.
After the lecture, the students and professors who participated in the seminar received detailed answers to all the questions they were interested in from the speakers.
It was noted that in recent years, a number of works have been carried out in our country to form a national information system, to use modern information and communication technologies in all aspects of state and community life.
The high-level development of this field, at the same time, the systematic transformation of our country into the global world, is gaining importance, first of all, with the country’s youth and their socialization.
It is very difficult to imagine the future and development of any field without modern technologies. In particular, the establishment of IT parks, specialized schools and training centers, which are starting their activities in the regions, and the promotion of startup ideas will lead to the improvement of the lifestyle and well-being of the population and will positively affect the level of local development there.
At the same time, significant work is being done to increase the scientific and creative potential of young people, to demonstrate their intellectual knowledge, analytical thinking, talent and social adaptation.
It should be noted that scientific research, IT technologies, start-up ideas, and computer literacy are given a lot of attention in the experience of the countries of the world. We also need to realize that we can achieve economic growth only through scientific achievements and new technologies.
IT-parks embodying these goals are a modern space for studying and working on promising projects, helping to enter the market of software products, widely attracting advanced young people of the future, and educating them with high potential. Today, thousands of startups are being worked on in our country, millions of programmers are being trained.
One of the important conditions for the development of information and communication technologies is to create favorable conditions for the provision of such software products and digital services, to bring them to the domestic and foreign markets, and to stimulate innovative developments.
India has expressed interest in creating an information technology park in Uzbekistan based on best practices in software development and acceleration of start-ups together with information and technology companies of Uzbekistan. It can be noted that the IT park was created on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to improve the startup ecosystem and startup projects and implement them in our country.
In 2019, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the IT park and laid the first symbolic stone for the construction of a new stage, and the first IT park in our country was opened in Tashkent. He created dozens of projects in the field of information technology, as well as encouraging young people, developing interest in this field and computer literacy among the population. “The stability of our economy, the high-quality and efficient operation of all sectors, the convenience of the population’s life depend on information technologies. That is why it is necessary to create wider opportunities, necessary infrastructure for this field, to encourage specialists, to educate talented young people”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Therefore, today’s organized seminar was devoted to the directions and prospects of the development of IT projects in Uzbekistan, and talked about the great work being done in these directions and the start-up projects that should be implemented.
