On October 3-9, 2021, the International Student Olympiad in the field of “Financial Security” was held in the Sirius educational center of Sochi (Russian Federation).
The main goal of the International Student Olympiad is to increase the economic, financial, legal and information literacy of young people and to form new thinking skills, to identify and support talented young people with high knowledge, skills and qualifications in the field of financial security.
This Olympiad is being organized for the first time in the world, and the organizers are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring (Rosfinmonitoring).
The partners in the organization of the Olympiad are the organizations responsible for financial intelligence (PFR) of each country, the International Educational and Methodological Center for Financial Monitoring (MUMTsFM) and others.
A member of the Eurasian Group (EAG) on Combating Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing at the International Olympiad: Member of the International Network Institute (MSI) from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan 350 students from more than 40 higher education institutions participated.
The main directions of the Olympiad are:
Economy, finance and credit, economic security;
International relations;
Jurisprudence;
Information security.
Five students of our university, who successfully passed the qualifying stages, received a ticket to participate in this international Olympiad, these are:
Salihova Aziza Erkinkizi 3rd year and Jawahir Qiyamiddinovich Minavvarov – 4th year (both at the Faculty of Digital Economy) majoring in “Economy, finance and credit, economic security”.
Abduqayumov Oybek Bahadir son of the 2nd year students of the Faculty of Corporate Management, Valieva Vazira Renatovna and Muydinov Saidmurodkhan Narzulla son of the 4th year student of the Digital Economy Faculty.
Associate Professor Ibodulla Khotamov, head of the “Economy of Networks” department, participated as the leader of the group.
Participating students from the university achieved the following achievements:
Aziza Erkin Salihova, son of “Economy, finance and credit, economic security” and Muydinov Saidmurodkhan Narzulla, son of “International relations” were awarded II degree diploma and Olympiad medal.
Other members of the university team were awarded with certificates.
As part of the International Student Olympiad, many master classes, discussions, presentations of project work, and sports competitions were held. The students of our university participated very actively in these events and were duly encouraged by the organizers.
